The location was perfect, the room and atmosphere was...

The location was perfect, the room and atmosphere was beautiful and the guy that works at reception, Javiar, was wondering wonderful! He was so helpful and always in a great mood! I would definitely recommend this place if you want something quiet and chill! (I miss you Javiar!)

The kitchen was very small with very few supplies but I still managed to cook meals.

Middle of the fun..

Stuff were very friendly and helpfull especially Javier is there when ever you need anything.. He anwers all question any tourist may have.. Others were kind and helpfull too. Location was also great.. Walking distance to Havana Salsa clup which was marvelous.. Room wsa comfortable and cosy .. Thank you Javier for all your help..We will come again..

It would be nice to have hot water and breakfast..

Dorm was very spacious and not fully booked even though it was high season. Quiet. Large, easy to access lockers. Really beautiful bathroom. Comfortable AC. Outlets and reading lights at every bed. Sheet AND blanket provided. Towels provided. Free coffee always available.

Showers should have hooks to hang towels, toiletry bags, etc. Sink area should have soap dispensers and not just little bars of soap to share. WiFi doesn’t work in the room, but is strong in common areas. No breakfast included. Plastic cups for coffee - bad for environment.

Pretty, well-located hotel with very mediocre rooms and bathrooms

Very pretty old building with excellent location by Centenario park. It's outside the very touristy centre, but right next to busy Getsemaní streets without being right in the middle of it. Staff generally helpful and very kind.

Shower is weak with cold water only. Very small bathroom. Room sizes vary considerably, so worth asking for a bigger one. It's quite noisy as the ceilings are thin so noise permeates. Payment options are poor. They demand 50% prepayment (by bank transfer, which is costly if you are outside of Colombia) and the rest upon checkin in cash (again, costly if you're not Colombian). The first room on ground floor was mouldy, though they were accommodating when we asked to change.

Very friendly staff, although no English spoken.

Very friendly staff, although no English spoken. Lovely courtyard and terrace for relaxing, very spacious and comfortable airconditioned dorm with balcony overlooking park, close to both the Plaza de la Aduana and the heart of Getsemani.

Didn’t quite get a full score for facilities as no laundry, hot water or lockers in dorm, but there are multiple laundry options nearby and cold showers seems to be the norm on the Carribean coast (the weather is hot enough for it to be no hardship). Be aware that the dorm, at least on the street frontage, is noisy. There is a dance club (Latin rather than electronic rhythms) next door and also plenty of music on the streets around. I enjoyed that but if you’re a light sleeper maybe go for a private room or at least a bunk at the back.

Staff is very helpful, especially Javier. City center/night life is near 6-7 minutes on foot. Outside is safe especially at night. Hotel is historical building. If I could come to cartagena, I would stay in this hotel.

Wifi didnt work in the room. It worked in reception.

It was clean.

The 7 people family room is not a family room at all!!! One thing is that it had been used as a deposit and it had some standing mattresses by one window, there was also mosquitoes and the window lies to the street SO LOTS OF NOISE til 2am because of party goers and the club next door, and from 6am because of a shop right under it. The windows towards the inside of the hotel gave us light until 3am as well. It was a horrible night!
